Getting Started

HOG is a hyperlocal community and marketplace. Discover posts, communities, and items for sale from people near you, and buy, sell, or give things away within your area.

Tap "Sign up" in the top-right corner and register with your email. Once you are signed in you can post, comment, vote, save items, and message other members.

On the website, Search starts at 10 km when you use current location and can be adjusted from 1–50 km. Marketplace also starts at 10 km and lets you choose Any distance or a 1–50 km radius. If location access is off, choose a province or amphoe instead. Community browsing does not use these radius filters; app behavior may differ.

Connect

Community & Posts

Tap the "Create" button in the navbar (or the pencil button on mobile), choose "Post", write your content, optionally add a photo, and publish.

Communities are topic groups shown as /h/name. You can post inside a community so your post reaches members interested in that topic, instead of only your local feed.

Tap the star to upvote a post (tap again to remove your vote). Open a post to read and add comments, and reply to other people’s comments.

Buy & Sell

Marketplace

Tap "Create", choose "Marketplace", then add a title, description, photos, price, and category. Set it as a free item if you want to give it away.

Open the product page and tap "Chat with Seller" to ask questions, or "Make Offer" to propose a price. The seller will see your message and can reply in chat.

Items marked "Free" are being given away at no cost. They appear with a FREE badge and a price of "Free" so they are easy to spot in the marketplace.

Messages

Chat & Messaging

On a product page tap "Chat with Seller". On a post you can open the "..." menu and choose "Message author". A private chat room is created between the two of you.

Open the chat popup from the floating button in the bottom-right corner to see your active conversations and continue any chat.

Trust & Safety

Account & Safety

Open the menu under your avatar in the top-right and choose "Edit Profile" to update your name, username, photo, and details.

Meet in public places, inspect items before paying, and keep conversations inside HOG chat. Avoid sending money in advance to people you do not know.

Use Report on the relevant profile, post, listing, comment, or message and choose a reason. For copyright or ownership reports about a post, listing, comment, or message, include the content link or ID, identify the work or rights you own or represent, and explain why it is unauthorized. You can also contact info@hogth.com. HOG reviews reports; reporting a profile does not automatically hide it or block the account, and no response deadline is promised. If your content was removed by mistake, contact us to request a review.

Open the person’s public profile and choose Block. Their posts are hidden from your feeds, and their direct or marketplace conversation is hidden from your account. HOG also prevents direct or marketplace chats and messages between accounts when either person has blocked the other. You can review or undo your blocks in Profile → Blocked accounts. Community and tag rooms remain shared: blocking does not remove either person from those rooms. You can still report a profile separately; a report does not automatically hide or block an account. Contact info@hogth.com if you need help.

Report a copyright or ownership issue

Users should post only content they created or own, or have permission to use and share. HOG does not verify ownership of every post before publication. Use Report on the relevant content or email info@hogth.com with the content link or ID and details that help us review it. If your content was removed in error, you may contact us to request a review.
